Auburn Boys Hockey Tryouts 2018

There is a MANDATORY meeting for all players interested in trying out for this year’s hockey team. The meeting will take place at lunchtime on Tuesday, September 11 in a room to be announced. If you are interested in trying out, fill out this form.

Tryouts start on Saturday, September 22. This year’s tryouts will only be one stage after which final releases will be made. The fee for tryouts is $75 which must be paid before the first tryout. Money can be given to Mr. Coombs in room 113. Estimated player fees for this season are $1500.

Saturday, Sept. 22 – 10:00 – 11:30am – Dartmouth 4-Pad
Sunday, Sept. 23 – 1:00 – 2:30pm – Dartmouth 4-Pad
Tuesday, Sept. 25 – 6:30 – 8:00pm – Scotia 2

Eagles Lose Game 1

The Eagles lost the first game of their best of 3 playoffs series to the CP Allen Cheetahs by a score of 4-1. The lone goal was scored by Tyler Strickland. The Eagles look to bounce back this Friday night at the BMO Centre in Bedford. A win and they will return to play game 3 at home next Tuesday, a loss and their season is over.

Auburn Wins Last Regular Season Game

The Auburn boys hockey team won their final game of the regular season against Lockview by a score of 5 to 4. Auburn goals came from Tyler Puma with 2, Darian Purcell, Julien Benigno and the game winning goal from Jake MacKinnon. Evan Noel made some amazing stops in net and ended the night with 34 saves. The Eagles next game will be playoffs. Stay tuned for dates and come out and support the team as they make a run for the title.

Auburn Wins Their Last Regular Season Home Game

The Eagles were down tonight by a score of 2-1 going in to the 3rd period against Sir John A during their final regular season home game with a goal from Nathan Alcorn. They bounced back with a game-tying goal from Chad Campbell and then took the lead late in the game with a game-winning goal from Darian Purcell. Nathan Alcorn added an empty net goal to give the Eagles the 4-2 win. Evan Noel stole the show with an incredible performance stopping 39 shots.

The grade 12 players honoured their parents and the support they have given them over the years before the game. The team would like to recognize the commitment and love from all the parents over their long minor hockey and High School hockey years.
