Auburn Loses in Close Championship Game

The Eagles gave it their all, but were unable to defeat both the Riverview Redmen and the officials. After a blown offside call, Riverview tied the game in the 3rd period and then the officials closed the lid calling a weak penalty with 47 seconds left and the goalie pulled. Hunter Canning scored twice including one of the best goals of the season batting a pass out of mid air. Hunter was the game MVP, Tyler Puma was selected as a tournament all-star and Jarrod Chiasson was selected as most sportsmanlike player.

It was a great performance by the Eagles. They will meet up with the Prince Andrew Panthers in the playoffs starting at home on Tuesday, February 19.
